Congratulations to the big success of NDHU CSIE’s AR/VR Research & Development team!
On August 8, 2019, the Vice President Prof. David S.F. Lin of National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) led the R&D Team of “AR/VR Technology to Promote Digital Economy in Eastern Taiwan” to attend the 2nd Annual Achievement Exhibition of “Digital Economic and Technological Innovation R&D and Application” launched by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan (Taiwan MOST).
As the Taiwan MOST’s flagship program in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and AR/VR, there were more than 30 outstanding teams from universities across Taiwan to participate in this exhibition. The show was full of excitement and highlights.
During the exhibition, Dr. Yu-Chin Hsu from the Taiwan MOST and Dr. Chu-Song Chen from Taiwan Academic Sinica AR/VR Project, had taken time to listen the demonstration and to experience the “Li-Yu Lake AR/VR Tour” and “Noah’s Ark AR/VR photo” applications. Furthermore, Prof. Yi-Ping Hung from National Taiwan University, Prof. Yeong-Kang Lai from National Chung Hsing University also joined and experienced our demo. Many officers, experts, and scholars affirmed our results deeply!
NDHU CSIE’s “AR/VR Technology to Promote Digital Economy in Eastern Taiwan” Research & Development Team was led by CSIE’s Prof. David Shin-Feng Lin (林信鋒教授), Prof. Mau-Tsuen Yang (楊茂村教授), Prof. I-Cheng Chang (張意政教授), Prof. Cheng-Chin Chiang (江政欽教授), and Prof. Cheng-Yong Huang (黃成永教授) from Dept of Arts & Design, together to present this remarkable result.
