● GPA (Grade Point Average) = The total amount of grade points is divided by the total number of credits registered.
● Failed courses are included in the GPA calculation.
● A class with Pass/Fail grade system will only earn credits but not count toward the average score.

All undergraduate students must earn at least a “C- (which is 60%) grade” to pass a class.
All graduate students (master or ph.d) must earn at least a “B- (which is 70%) grade” to pass a class.
Anything below the passing grade meant you did not pass this class.
If it is the required compulsory class, then you must re-take it again until pass it.
If it is the elective class, then you may take another elective class instead.
All undergraduate students must earn at least “2.00 GPA” to pass a semester.
All graduate students (master or ph.d) must earn at least “2.70 GPA” to pass a semester.
Students, whose GPA did not meet the minimum requirements for “two semesters in a row or a total of three semesters” and who “did not receive passing grades for more than two thirds of all attended courses” shall be expelled, as stated in the NDHU Academic Regulations 學則, Article 43.
