Mid-semester Course Withdrawal

  • Students who wish to withdraw from a course must obtain a Withdrawal Code from the instructor (or teaching assistant) within the mid-term course withdrawal application period ( please refer to NDHU Calendar) . 
  • After obtaining the Withdrawal Code, please use a smartphone or tablet to scan the QR Code, or use a desktop/laptop to open the [Online Course Selection System] to enter the Withdrawal Code within the deadline. Confirmation completes the withdrawal process. Failure to enter the code by the deadline will be considered a forfeiture of the right to withdraw; please be sure to note the course withdrawal deadline.
  • How to withdraw course through the online course selection system:
  1. Log in to Online Course Selection System -> find ‘輸入課程停休碼’ (On the left side) 
  1. The system will ask if you are sure to enter the withdrawal code, click ‘confirm’.
  1. Enter the withdrawal code in the ‘停修碼’ box, then click ‘確定送出停休此課程’。 It will show ‘此停休課程已完成停休’ (Means that you have successfully withdrawn course). 
  1. In your course selection system, the withdrawn course will be shown in gray colour. 
  • How to withdraw from a course through QR code. 
  1. Scan the QR code and open the link.
  2. Enter your student ID (學號)and course selection system password (選課密碼).
  3. Make sure your information is correct ( including course information) , then click ‘確定送出停休此課程’。
  4. It will show ‘此停休課程已完成停休’ (Means that you have successfully withdrawn course). 
  5. In your course selection system, the withdrawn course will be shown in gray colour. 

※ Students withdrawing from a course must properly safeguard the QR Code [Withdrawal Code]; lost codes will not be reissued. The Withdrawal Code can only be entered once, and courses for which the withdrawal procedure has been completed cannot be revoked. Please consider carefully before entering the code.

Course Withdrawal Reminders:

  • Course Limit: Limited to one course per semester.
  • Minimum Credit Load: The total number of registered credits, after deducting the credits of the withdrawn course, must not fall below the minimum credit load stipulated by the respective department or graduate institute.
  • Academic Record Notation: Withdrawn courses will still be recorded on the semester transcript and the permanent academic record, and will be noted with a “Withdrawal” (W) in the grade column. However, no score will be assigned, nor will it affect the Grade Point Average (GPA).
  • Credit Fees: Credit fees will not be refunded for withdrawn courses (including music instruction fees, keyboard maintenance fees, practicum/lab fees, and course material fees). Students who have not yet paid the credit fees must still pay them in accordance with regulations.
